An apology and a vow

Uh, I really made a mess of the design on this blog,,, however I had fun doing it, and I will change it later, when I start taking things a bit more serious. I am thinking about making a new home page, and I want a consistent design for all parts of it; portfolio, blog and the main webpage.

And the vow. I have promised myself to make one finished illustration every weekend, so the plan is to update this blog on a weekly basis from now on. That is the plan... we'll see what happens in reality.

I'm having a lot of fun practicing environments at the moment. So who cares that I am not very good at this particular discipline yet, when it is such a hoot learning it. About 2 hours no reference.

Badass WIP

A still unfinished piece that I am working on at the moment. I was wondering about the struggle it must be for a male flamingo to keep its masculinity, and this is the preliminary result. The "background" is a "phony" that I painted very fast to cover up the real background - I want to keep the mystery alive even if I am giving away some of it by posting the unfinished work here.

I really think I am getting better with each painting I am making at the moment.
